The emergence of deepfake pornography has been steadily gaining traction over the years, albeit at a slower pace than I initially anticipated. Today, I want to delve into a service that first emerged in late 2021 and has already attracted millions of curious users online. Although I feel a bit late to this trend, I was eager to explore what this technology can really do. Upon visiting the DeepSwap website, I found a bold claim: "Create a face swap video in seconds." The site presented a split-screen preview featuring a blonde woman in a bathing suit. On the left, we see the original image, while on the right, the same woman appears with brown eyes instead of blue. The transformation was strikingly realistic, making it hard to believe they were from the same person. Intrigued, I decided to try the face swap for myself. Signing up was easy; I only needed an email and password or could simply use my Google or Facebook account.
